Tibetan Phoenix

Tibetan Phoenix

In Tibetan legends and culture the phoenix is brought up a lot. The phoenix is thought to symbolize eternal life, peace and prosperity.
The phoenix is known through legends to be able to die in its own flames and then resurrect in it's ashes. The Tibetan phoenix is a mix of many animals, the front of a swan, the back of a unicorn, the throat of a swallow, the bill of a fowl, the neck of a snake, the tail of a fish, the forehead of a crane and stripes of a dragon.
