The Chinese Luck knot has a few different names, endless knot, mystic knot, eternal knot, pan chang knot. In China around holidays, this bright red knot can be seen hanging in home, cars, offices, schools, shops, streets, trees and almost everywhere else. The knot brings good luck and wards off evil. You can get small knots about 2cm wide or larger ones, more than 2 feet wide.
Wearing something with this knot is also quite lucky. Yesterday, I finished adding some new bangles to Artfire. A few of them showed the Chinese Lucky Knot.
Here is one of the bangles with the Chinese Lucky Knot. http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/product_view/shangrilacraft/4578333/Tibetan_Silver_Chinese_Lucky_Knot_Bangle/Jewelry/Bracelets/Silver
The lucky knot is one of the eight auspicious symbols. The endless pattern represents the nature of all existence, birth and death and that life can exist forever. Since it has no beginning or end, it represents the wisdom of Buddha.
The Chinese word for rope, sounds similar to the Chinese word for 'divine', its thought that because of this similarity it was why people began to cherish ropes. The endless knot also represents happiness, eternal love and friendship and because the knot never ends, the happiness will never end.
Hanging the knot in your home, car or office will bring you luck. Wearing the knot will bring you good luck and even just seeing and looking at the knot will ward off evil and bring you good luck.
